About Our Mission

Dedicated to understanding and addressing the impacts of copper mining in Zambia

Our Mission

We are committed to promoting sustainable mining practices while ensuring the well-being of local communities and the environment in Zambia's Copperbelt region. Our mission is to bridge the knowledge gap between mining operations and their long-term impacts on society and nature.

Through research, education, and community engagement, we strive to create awareness and facilitate positive change in the mining sector.

Our Mission

Our Core Values

Environmental Stewardship

Promoting sustainable practices and environmental protection in mining operations.

Community Empowerment

Supporting and empowering local communities affected by mining activities.

Knowledge Sharing

Facilitating education and awareness about mining impacts and solutions.

Our Story

Our journey began with a simple observation: while copper mining has been a cornerstone of Zambia's economy, its impacts on local communities and the environment needed more attention and understanding. We started as a small group of researchers and community advocates, determined to make a difference.

Today, we have grown into a comprehensive resource center, bringing together environmental scientists, social researchers, community leaders, and industry experts. Our work spans across the entire Copperbelt region, documenting impacts, sharing knowledge, and promoting sustainable solutions.
